A hard-core professional with 21 years (1987-2008) of qualitative experience in various command, staff and instructional appointments with the Indian Army. and 17 years plus in Corporate as Senior Consultant/Risk Advisor/Senior Security Management positions, at Tricolor Risk and Security Solutions Pvt Ltd, Mumbai (Aug 2008-May 2010) and Mahindra Special Services Group, Mumbai (May 2010 to May 2014). Currently holding Caterpillar Security Management position (May 2014 onwards) for India, China, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
 

Accountability for all security related matters to include operations, physical security at more than 100 plus active production facilities/office environments in India and China. Lead efforts for Caterpillar’s global travelers, protection of tangible/intangible assets and crisis response concerning the safety and security of all Caterpillar inc, employees. Directs development and implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines and programs across all product lines.
 

Since 2008, Deepankar has been developing security related strategies, policies, systems and security controls and Standard Operating Procedures for large organizations in corporate. Major projects which have been governed by him are compliance and SVAs in conjunction with OSIPP of HPCL terminals, hardening of physical infrastructure at IPRL for an Oil Refinery, high end residential society by K Raheja Group, MVML, IT parks of Godrej & Boyce, L&T security engineering at Bhartiya City, Bangalore, mapping entire security of Arvind Ltd. and designing CCR at BSE, Mumbai.
 

He has the expertise in formulating General Service Qualitative Requirements (GSQR) for critical infrastructure against anti-ramming devices, video and audio eavesdropping counter measures for high rise buildings and blast mitigation strategies for MNC and corporate high-profile facilities.
 

He has been a featured speaker at various forums with Bombay Chambers of Commerce and Industry and CII, Mumbai. He has attended several conferences on knowledge sharing and networking for the professionals with SONY Ltd. in Japan and Singapore and seminar on IP Security as Milestone Partner Open Platform (MPOP) days for Middle East & Africa.
 

Deepankar holds a Master of Science in Defence and Strategic Studies from the Chennai University and is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (India), XLRI, Jamshedpur and National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla.  He is a certified instructor in Vehicle Technology & Transport Management and Small Arms Weapon Technology.
 

Deepankar has the certification for implementing ISO 31000 Risk Management – principles and guidelines from the British Standard Association (BSI)
